Richie Morris Racing to Boast the Talents of Tripp Nobles in the 2008 SunTrust MOTO-ST Series
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. March 1st – Well-known rider Tripp Nobles has joined Richie Morris Racing to contest the BMW GrandSport Twins Class in this year’s SunTrust MOTO-ST Series.
“We’re ready to go for it,” says Nobles, who will co-pilot Richie Morris Racing’s Hal’s Harley-Davidson’s sponsored Buell XB12R with Clint Brotz. “The way I look at it, the GST title is ours to lose. This is one terrific team and one terrific bike. The team only missed the championship last season by a mere 5 points and this year we don’t plan to let that happen. I’ve raced against Hal’s Harley-Davidson for years and it is definitely exciting and a pleasure to now be able to race for them.”
“We are really excited to have Tripp and Hal’s Harley-Davidson Buell on board,” says team owner Richie Morris. “Not only has Hal’s agreed to sponsor our team, but they have provided us with one of the most talented crew chiefs in the industry – Terry Galagan, which is really icing on the cake.”
Hailing from Macon, Georgia, Nobles brings a wealth of talent and skill to Richie Morris Racing. Competing for the past 18 years, Nobles has raced in motocross, World Superbike, AMA Superbike, AMA Twin Sports, WERA and AHDRA. With seven WERA 600cc and 750cc Super Sport tiles, two AHDRA crowns and an AMA Twin Sport Championship to his credit, there is no doubt as to this man’s two-wheel ability.
One of the friendliest and most popular riders on the circuit, Tripp’s love of life is evident. “Life is all good,” he says with a smile. “And, this year is going to be great.”
Off the track, Nobles enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening and cooking. “I grow my own vegetables and pretty much hunt and fish for most of my food. I believe in living off the land as much as possible and am lucky as I have a small spread which gives me the space to have a garden and grow my own stuff. I even have some chickens so I can have fresh eggs every morning. You just can’t beat that.”
When not racing or hunting or fishing, Nobles can be found exercising. “I love to exercise,” he says. “It makes me feel good and, more importantly, it keeps me in shape. And, I want to be in the best possible shape to run in this series. We are in it to win.”
The SunTrust MOTO-ST Series is organized and sanctioned by Professional Motorsports Productions (PMP) of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and the Grand American Road Racing Association (Grand-Am), based in Daytona Beach, Fla., provides the series with administrative and commercial support.
